Sue Lee Dentometric Appliance® (SLDA)
USO Patent No. 9,089,385
The SLDA is an orthodontic appliance inserted on the palatal surface of children or adults to define the correct arch form. Dr. Lee’s innovative technique, Dentometric® analysis, determines the ideal size and shape of the arch based on surrounding structures and facial features
What makes the SLDA unique? While other expansion appliances split the palate in one dimension by pushing the right and left palate apart, the SLDA is custom-made to reshape the arch form of each patient. There are no keys or screws to turn, because the SLDA is “pre-programmed” before insertion.
Dr. Lee does not simply line teeth up in a row, but customizes their alignment according to the patient’s unique physical features. Once the SLDA re-configures the arch, the teeth can move easily into the desired alignment.
End result? Using the SLDA significantly reduces the need for extractions and usually reduces treatment to 6-8 months – less than half the time of a more traditional approach.

USO Patent No. 9,662,275
The Paciflow pacifier has a revolutionary, holistic design that ensures the healthiest development of your baby’s mouth, ears, nose and throat from the very first weeks of life. And of course, you want what’s healthiest for your baby.
It is a well-known fact that long term use of pacifiers causes oral dysfunction, resulting in significant orthodontic problems. After many years of persistent effort to understand the neuromuscular mechanics of oral, facial, and pharyngeal functions, Dr. Lee finally came up with the answer: Paciflow. Its innovative shape and design stimulates baby’s natural instinct to suckle, while simultaneously coordinating breathing and feeding mechanisms.
Taking into account baby’s critical neural and musculature formation, Dr. Lee designed Paciflow to promote proper neuromuscular innervation. Very simply, it trains the muscles to develop the proper way, minimizing common problems resulting from the use of conventional pacifiers. Paciflow keeps the airway free and makes baby’s breathing and swallowing natural and efficient.
Flexible Dental Model
USO Patent No. 9,812,036
Dental models – 3D representations of human teeth – are widely used for teaching purposes and for patient education. Since current models represent only a static imprint of the teeth, they can be an obstacle to proper patient education of dental conditions and projected improvements.
Dr. Lee’s dental model visually demonstrates how changes in arch shape affect its dimensions. It is designed to provide a more accurate representation of proposed orthodontic treatments.
